Cancellation Policy

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • The tour start at 5:30am but the pickup times will be between 4am and 5:30am
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

What To Expect

Day 1: Reporting and Acclimatization at Rumsu Base Camp

All trekkers will report at Rumsu Base Camp, located just a short distance from Manali, by 8:00 AM. After registration, you will freshen up and enjoy a healthy breakfast to kickstart your journey.

After breakfast, we will begin the trek with an acclimatization walk around the camp, giving you a chance to get familiar with the altitude and surroundings. This is crucial to ensure a safe and enjoyable trek. A hearty lunch will be served at 1:00 PM, followed by a trek orientation session that covers trekking techniques, packing tips, and medical awareness. Post snacks, we will have an ice-breaking session to get to know fellow trekkers.

The night will be spent at Rumsu Base Camp, a perfect place to rest and prepare for the exciting trek ahead.

Day 2: Trek from Rumsu to Naya Tapru (2,950 meters)

After a hearty breakfast, we begin our trek to Naya Tapru, which is situated at an altitude of 2,950 meters. The route takes us through dense forests filled with pine, fir, oak, and chestnut trees, providing plenty of shade and fresh air.

This part of the Chandrakhani Pass trek involves a moderate ascend, taking around 5 to 6 hours. We will take a break for a packed lunch at Ghan Kulhadi, a large meadow surrounded by dense forests, which offers a perfect resting spot amidst the greenery.

Upon reaching Naya Tapru, we set up camp in the evening. This picturesque camping site offers stunning views and a peaceful environment for the night. You can relax and enjoy the sounds of nature as you prepare for the next day’s adventure.

Day 3: Chandrakhani Pass (3,660 meters) and Return to Naya Tapru

After an early breakfast, we begin the trek to Chandrakhani Pass. This part of the trek is the most challenging, with a moderate ascent that takes around 4 hours to reach the summit. The Chandrakhani Pass stands at an elevation of 3,660 meters, offering an incredible panoramic view of the Pir Panjal, Deo Tibba, and Indrasan peaks, along with vast alpine meadows and valleys.

Adjacent to Chandrakhani Pass lies the Dhana Kunnu Pass, which is also a notable spot along this trekking route. This pass is steeped in legend, associated with the famous sage Jamdagini Rishi, one of the seven Saptrishi.

After spending some time at the summit, we begin our descent back to Naya Tapru. The downhill trek takes around 2 hours and is much easier than the ascent. We set up camp again at Naya Tapru, where you can enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by the beauty of the mountains.

Day 4: Descend to Base Camp and Departure

On the final day of the Chandrakhani Pass Trek, we begin the descent back to Rumsu Base Camp after breakfast. The descent follows the same route as the ascent, taking approximately 4 hours.

Along the way, we will stop for a packed lunch at Sterling, another beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings.

Once we reach Rumsu Base Camp, there will be a certificate distribution ceremony to commemorate the successful completion of the trek. Afterward, trekkers will depart for Manali, where the trek officially ends.
